runny nose, nasty cough. Could it be a cold?

My 4 mth old has a runny nose, and a cough that doesn't sound good. Im not sure if its allergies or cold symptoms. So my questions is does a runny nose always indicate a cold?

  • No, not always. But it sounds like it could be. See the doc anyway. With a 4 month old it is better to be safe. Croup is really bad this year and it is hard on babies! What does the cough sound like?
