do you make different types of food If your dh isn't home for supper?

I do! We eat very little meat when he's not around, and lots of casseroles and leftovers,
Tonight we are having gorgeous butternut squash stuffed with leftover rice and peas from the other night, I added some shredded cheese for protein. Lol.
Tomorrow daddy is home, and we will have roast chicken, homemade Mac and cheese, green beans and roasted squash.

  • Eggs! We do a lot of breakfast for dinner or frittatas when he's not home because he can't do eggs.

  • Hubby works second shift Monday - Friday but no we don't cook any different because he isn't home. Whatever we have for supper tonight he will have for supper tomorrow night...and so on through the whole week.

  • Yes. My husband loves chicken. I can really live without meat all together! So, I usually have meatless dinners when he's out.

This is identical to what I would say except mine works Wed-Sun second shift.

  • Nope, I just moved meals around to where DH is home for the heavy meal and we have sandwiches or leftovers the meal he isn't here. I always feel stupid cooking for 1 and a half.
