72 times, I can't recall, why is this acceptable?

When former Vice President Dick Cheney was questioned by the FBI, he answered "I don't recall" 72 times.

Why aren't we holding our leaders to a higher standard?

  • We should hold them to a higher standard. Starting with the thug currently in office.

Agreed. Plus the thug formerly in office. Let's not let petty party divisions give one or the other a free pass and call a thug a thug.

    If only it were so.
The thugs stay put and only the frontmen change.

  • Can you say - "NATIONAL SECURITY"! The FBI is on a witch hunt. They need to just go catch some bad guys who are illegally jumping our borders, bringing in drugs, killing, kidnapping, or any other crime and leave the former VP alone.

  • While I cannot believe I am posting this, it is his right as an American to lose his memory. Not quite as incriminating as taking the 5th, nor as bad as attempting to lie his way out of it. Tells me a lot about his credibility, which is not a positive thing.

And if he has anything to do with what the FBI is looking into, he should be questioned. Just like any other American citizen. Being the former VP is not a free pass, nor should it be.

Figures. He can recall every slight he thinks other administrations have made, but can't recall a damn thing about his own......
