What is he trying to do?

My 9 month old is fine till he catches me moving or looking at him then he cries until I pretend to ignore him again. What's up with that?

  • He keeps crying when I hold, play and sing to him.

  • Does he rock a lot? Does he smile? Does he respond to his name?

If he isn't wanting contact with you I would start to look at autism as a possibility. I would note all of his behaviors that seem unusual and discuss it with his pediatrician at his next well visit.

  • Is it a game for him? I would talk with your pedi and see what he says

  • Oh my, I guess I should have explained more. He is a very social, vocal, happy baby. This is a one time occurrence. Only lasted an hour. I think he just got board of playing with mommy. I stay at home with him every day. We read, play, sing, bounce, walk, take pictures, laugh. He likes playing games. If anything he gets too much of me :)
