Would you trade 10 pairs of shoes for one pair of Ugg boots?

My Hubby told me that if I got rid of (throw away or donate) 10 pair of shoes he would find the cash (which we dont have a lot of) for me to go buy a pair of Ugg boots (the ones with fur on them). Would you trade 10 pairs of shoes for one pair of Ugg boots?

  • I don't know if I even have 10 pairs of shoes, including my 2 pairs of winter boots! I guess I do if I add in my cheapy flip flops, but no, I would not trade my shoes for Uggs. I wouldn't wear Uggs anyway, and if I did want them, I'd buy knock offs.

  • No, couldn't do that. Each shoe has it's purpose.

  • Haha, YES. Especially if hubby is buying. Besides, shoes need to be periodically replaced AND you can buy cute pairs for $5-$10 easy. at Ross or Marshalls or other discount shoe places. I think I own just shy of 10 pairs of shoes though... so I wouldn't be able to cash in on this deal... Tell him to get you the Uggs first or get them for you asap after the donation! lol

  • Ugg boots are not very practicle. They don't handle snow or rain very well. You would be much better off with a good pair of Merrils (sp?); you can find them on sale or at a discount store for around $50-60. Put the extra cash in your retirement fund or your kids' college fund.
