Is there a natural homemade laundry soap recipe?

Alot of laundry recipes online include borax and washing soda which is not available in my country as easily as when I lived in America.

The natural powder stuff from the health food store costs $20 per tiny box!!

Do you have any recipes that don't include washing soda and borax... if I just used grated olive oil soap (which is available here and very cheap) mixed with hot water, would that work and clean well?

I just bought cloth diapers and I don't want to wash them with bad detergent
