how old was your baby when he or she started standing on there own?

today my son crawled up to the charir and stand up by pulling himself up with out. my mom said i walked at 9 months. my son is a few days short of his 8 month mark. but his twin brother just now starting to sit without help. is my son fast or my other son slow?

  • he could pull himself up around 8 or 9 months but wasn't fully standing on his own until 10 months. walked about a week before his first birthday.

  • each kid is at their own pace. my son didnt' stan up on his own till after 1. or do you mean pulling up? he was doing that at around 7 months. my dd, however, is 15 months and still won't pull herself up. she gets halfway there and then decides not too. she's seeing a PT for it, but that's just to help her speed up, even the PT says she'll do it eventually.

  • She could pull herself up and stand holding onto things sometime during the 8th month, stood on her own with out holding anything at 10 months, and walked at 11 months, but not well till 12 months.

  • My daughter didnt sit on her own tell 8 mths and started pulling up around 9 mths didnt start standing on her own tell 11 mths she is 12 mths still not walking a couple weeks ago she finally took her first steps.

  • my son is 4 months old and can sit on his own for a minute at a time and can stand holding onto something, such as his crib rail for 2 to 3 min without falling
