Chicken, rice and cream of mushroom

how do i make this in a slow cooker?
(please excuse my cooking ignorance. I realize it's probably not difficult. lol)

  • I'd just toss it all in together with a packet of onion soup mix and a can of mushroom pieces. Yummy. My mom always made chicken and rice casserole in the oven but I prefer to use the slow cooker. I don't really even measure any more and just kind of dump ingredients in.

  • Spray the crockpot with cooking spray (to make cleanup easier)
    In the morning, put chicken in bottom of the crockpot
    Stir cup of milk with can of soup (or 2 cups with 2 cups of soup), add seasonings to taste
    Add rice (probably a cup or so) on top of chicken
    Pour soup mixture over rice and chicken
    Cover and cook on low about 8 hours

    you could also cook the rice separately and put it in there about half an hour or so before dinner( probably is better this way)

  • Try the crockpot liners....they make clean up so much easier. The rice I would make separetly. I add chicken, dry Italian dressing, dry Ranch dressing, fresh cut carrots, celery & green beans and 2 cans of cram of mushroom soup. Cover and cook for 8-10 hours on low.
