Potty Training!

My son just turned three. I've been trying really hard to get him potty trained, but he's lazy! He's done #1 and #2 in the potty already, but he won't ever tell me when he needs to go, so it hasn't been working. I need help! Please! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Take the diapers away completely. Undies only. Take him every 30 minutes or so the first day. The second day take him every hour or so. Never go back to diapers/pull-ups except at night. Reward him with m&ms or something he loves. The key is to never go back to diapers. Stay home for a few days while you do this. It should only take a few days.

  • just keep reminding him! Ask him constantly if he needs to go. Stickers really did it for my girls because they were excited when they would be able to put one on the toilet cover. They loved it!

  • Are you using pull-ups? If so, ditch them! They are too much like diapers. I went straight to "big boy pants," and my son literally trained in one day.
