Do you REALLY have to wait 6 weeks?

I had a baby 3 weeks ago and I'd really like to have sex w/ my dh but I'm a little scared. Is it okay to have sex now and will it hurt for doing it too early? How long did you wait?

  • We did it after 4 weeks.. even though were weren't "supposed" to.

  • It wasn't an issue for me, but my BFF was told that if she didn't wait until after the 6 week visit she ran the risk of uterine prolapse. She didn't take the chance. I suppose they tell us that for a good reason...

  • It's best to wait...not to mention, do you really want to chance getting pregnant again this soon?! I had no desire to do the dirty for quite a while, even though I healed well & quickly.
