How do you cook small yellow squash?

  • Slice and steam, then if you must, lightly salt and butter.

  • small yellow should mean a summer squash like zucchini. I would slice and saute or steam lightly. they are very tender small and do not take long to cook!

  • slice it, batter it and fry it. You can batter it with milk or egg (or a mix of both) then toss it in seasoned flour or corn meal (or a mix of both) and either add it to grease and fry it or bake it in the oven. Yummy
