Where the Wild Things are

How did you/your kids like this movie? I was thinking of taking my 5 yr old DD to see it. Is that a good age for this movie?

  • My grandson is 5, he does have sensory issues but in general he found the movie too scary. I had to go sit out with him while my husband finished watching with his 6 yr old sister who loved it.

  • I saw it. It's dark, depressing, a little scary, and has very violent under tones. It's way too much for a 5 yr old to handle.

I loved the book. My mom read it to me every night when I was little but the movie was awful. It wasn't geared well for kids, but then it wasn't geared well for adults either.

I felt like it was a waste of my time and money.

  • My daughter loves the book. We haven't seen the movie. We'll just rent it.

  • I think the Christmas Carol one starts this week. I'm going to take my 6yo to see that one.
