how can i potty train my 3 yr old

my 3 yr old is not wanting to tell us when he needs to go potty so we cant get him out of diapers help me please we have tried everything

  • Get rid of the diapers (except at bed time) and do a few extra loads of laundry for 3 days. Also, make him clean himself up, don't do it for him.

  • We went straight to "big boy pants" (underwear) with my son when he was 2 years and 10 months. Honestly, he was trained in 1 day. Yes, it was messy when he peed in his clothes, but he hated it, and he learned to go to the potty. He has been completely trained for 4 months now, and it is wonderful! I did NOT make him clean up his messes because they were simply accidents.
    ****He still wears a diaper for nap and bedtime.
