  • If it's going to be pretty outside you could rent a blow-up slide. Or play baseball/volleyball/whatever. Maybe have a bonfire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. Do a scavenger hunt and give a prize to the person who finds everything first.

  • Oh, scavenger hunts ALWAYS go over well at parties! I'm going to have my son's 11th birthday at home, and we are going to have a scavenger hunt. They will have to go around the house and yard, and up our street finding things on the list. The first one to complete the whole list and bring all the things back to the house wins a fun prize, and then there will be second and third place prizes, and then little prizes for all the others that complete the list.

  • Scavenger hunts are great and you can have them do silly relay races in the yard too. We did a party(not at home, but at a park, just a few blocks away) and we did stuff like this for our 8yo. We also did water baloons(like a baloon toss game) but it may be too cold or chilly for that depending on where you are. You can also look up silly experiments online that you can have them do... like the mentos in the diet coke, that makes it shoot everywhere. Boys love that stuff.
