swine flu is just another strain of influenza. if you research it, there are over 30,000 atrains of the flu. the symptoms are close to the same and only the blood teat can tell the difference.

My kids got sick and I called the advice nurse at their pediatric clinic and what she told me is this: there's a gastrointestinal component to H1N1; basically, if they're throwing up or nauseated, and having diarrhea, you should them in right away. If not, it's probably just regular flu or a cold, check their temperatures and proceed as you normally would.

Agree with Cassie. You don't need to know which strain of influenza it is. Treat symptomatically.

I've never known a flu that didn't have gastrointestinal components. They are treating all flu symptoms as the swine flu.

H1N1 is a strand of influenza A so basically there is no difference in symptoms. There is not really an outbreak of the most common strand of Influenza A right now so they (at least our hospital) are treating all cases of Infuenza A as H1N1 right now
As for the gastrointestinal stuff... the flu is NOT an illness of the stomach, its a respitory infection. So dont think your child doesnt have swine if they dont have a stomach bug! Neither of my children had stomach crap going on when they had H1N1.

Do a little research. This has been asked so many times and it could also easily be found on google.

This should not be in the "Adult Children" section.
