  • The baby gets calories from breast milk, the milk uses calories from your body. Up to 500 a day!

  • it burns calories...but be aware, its not a magic weight loss plan, I never lost any significant amount of weight while breastfeeding any of my 3 kids...if your going to breastfeed, do it for the right reasons...that its the best possible food you can feed your baby and has many health benefits for them AND you! not to loose weight!

  • i think breastfeeding in the beginning takes off about 600 calories per day! i lost some weight but not a lot but that's because i wasn't exercising. and probably eating too much junk :P

  • It burns calories as well as helping the body's hormones get back to normal levels.
