How many contaminants in your children's bath & personal care products?

When was the last time you read the ingredients in products like shampoos, cosmetics, baby wipes, lotions, bubble bath, hair relaxers, hand soap, sun block, toothpaste, etc......

  • Yes there are harmful chemicals in all those things. My daughter doesn't use soap in the bath because her pediatrician recommended she doesnt since she has EXTREMELY sensitive skin. When we use baby product we do use California Baby, they are a great ALL NATURAL product. Their sunscreen is wonderful!

  • A contaminant is, by definition, something that isn't supposed to be there. If it's on the label, it's not a contaminant.

  • Anon:41 - Not so. The reason some of the products end up on the Environmental Working Groups website - is because of the SOURCE of the ingredients that end up being contaminated. Vitamin E (Tocopherol) is usually a culprit...here's a great website that rates almost ALL personal care products...just type in the ingredient or the product name and they more than likely have a rating for it.
