  • Does this mean that God does not hear us when we pray for those with iniquity in their hearts? or if we do God does not hear us?

  • Below are two different translations - God hears the prayers of Christians this verse does not say that.. it says He takes no pleasure, is not pleased withthe wicked and they cannot stand before Him.. in other words if someoe comes before God in prayer with wickedness in there heart without repenting or being repentant or wanting to repent... no God does not hear their prayers.

    4 You are not a God who is pleased with the wicked;
    you do not live with those who do evil.
    5 Those people who make fun of you cannot stand before you.
    You hate all those who do evil.

    4. For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; evil cannot remain with you.
    5.Those who brag cannot stand before your eyes, you hate all who do evil,

  • Where do you even see prayer mentioned? It simply states that God hates sin and He is not pleased with those who make a habit of sinning.

    Think of it as a parent, if you have a child that is continually rebelling against you, are you pleased with that child? No. But if that child is in danger do you hear their cries for help? Yes.

    If we who are human and faulty in our love can do that, don't you think God can?

  • Well not Christian , ----- but perhaps the foolish are those who dont repent of their sins therefore cant be forgiven them ?

    Not sure about the difference between sin and iniquity though !!!! Yet again PERHAPS iniquity is a "big sin ", and theres a difference between big sins and little sins !!!!!!
