Right-wing media respond to Fort Hood shooting by attacking American Muslims
2 hours and 46 minutes ago — 34 Comments
Right-wing media figures have used the shooting at Fort Hood as an excuse to attack Islam and American Muslims in particular, with Debbie Schlussel, for example, urging readers to think of the alleged shooter "whenever you hear about how Muslims serve their country in the U.S. military." Additionally, commentators have blamed the shooting on "political correctness," with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade suggesting the implementation of "special debriefings" for Muslim American soldiers to prevent future attacks.

yeah, just the other day I heard children on a playground debating racial profiling, discrimination, mental illness and military recruiting.

Mediamatters.org is a "non-profit progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in ..." Don't think you can trust them to be unbiased.
Their agenda is to find weighted words and make a case from that. Of course they will do some investigating to make sure this is a one time event. The lives of other soldiers depend on it. If they don't and others are killed, the military will be blasted for that.
I dont see the problem and I am a Little confused on the Christianity comparison that people are throwing out. Are we at war with Christians at the moment OR Muslim extremists? Are Christians killing our boys and girls in uniform by the thousands each year OR Muslim extremists? Are Christians the ones blowing up THEIR OWN INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN by the hundreds EVERY DAY OOOOORRRRRR is it the Muslim Extremists? Yes I DO realize that there was a time in our HISTORY where Christians killed many in the name of rel;igion and eventually MANY people came together to put a stop to it......and they DIDNT do this by attacking ANOTHER religion that wasnt doing anything. I also find it silly that my 82 yr old white male grandpa got stopped and asked to take off his shoes at the airport while the Arabic looking man was waved through....yeah because the chances are WAY greater that my grandpa was going to cause problems......
