  • Thank you, is it Jewish?

  • It is a Jewish (well, Hebrew/Yiddish) sentiment. It is said as mazal tov in Hebrew and as mazel tov in Yiddish and it means "good luck has occured" or "your fortune has been good". Many people say it in place of congratulations.
