lumpy breast

is it normal for the breast to get lumpy after baby is born not leaking milk yet had baby mon. nov. 2 my breast hurt real bad and are so lumpy...i cant find a place where there is no lump...what can this be from...how can i treat this?

  • Sounds like your milk is coming in~ you're probably engorged.
    Nurse-nurse-nurse! Nurse that baby often! It can get worse and the breast can be so tight it's hard to nurse.

  • Question is it has been 5 days since the baby has been born if you where breast feed you should be leaking milk, if you are not breast feeding they use to give you something to help dry the milk up. But hot compresses will help with the pain or heating pad. Any concerns talk over with your doctor.
