asthma air purifier?

Maybe that's not even what I mean.... my son (age 5) needs something for his bedroom that will help pull dander, dust particles, etc from the air. I want something easy to use and keep clean, as small as possible, quiet enough for him to sleep though, and under $500.

Can someone please share what they use and the pros/cons of it?

  • I use the oreck ones...they are a bit more expensive but they last and they work...my dad bought the shaper image one for my dd but it buzzed and zapped and never really seemed to catch anything...with the oreck one you can tell when you clean it that its doing its job...

  • Anything with a hepa filter. They're all pretty good.

The ones that put "ozone" in the air are actually not recommended for anyone. Just get a good hepa filter.
