Anal fissure

Has anyone had one of these? Did it bleed? How long before it healed?

  • I've had plenty. You can take a stool softener to prevent more tearing. Yes, anal fissures bleed because they are tears in your skin. That hurt when you pass bowel movements. You can use hemorrhoidal pads with witch hazel (like Tucks) to help sooth it and to help you heal faster.

They usually heal in a couple of days.
