i think i have a blood blister on my nipple from nursing, what should i do?

i use sweet oil (olive oil) after feeding him

  • Well, you need to discover why you're getting blisters. It's most likely from an improper latch. Google "ameda latching video" and watch that and see if that helps. If you still have trouble, talk to a La Leche League leader or a lactation consultant to get some help on solving latch issues. A good latch is key to successful, pain-free nursing.

  • I've never heard of olive oil after BF. That's interesting. I always Lansinoh (not sure that's spelled right) and I never had any problem with my nipples.
