  • Make healthy food fun. Look on google, familyfun.com, parenting.com or in magazines for fun healthy recipes and snacks. My son is really picky. I tried carrots 100 times before I realized he would eat them only if they are cut across with a "squiggly knife" lol So keep trying new things and eventually she'll pick up new habits. The worst thing on Earth is soda. Get rid of those for sure!

  • Don't buy the junk. My 14 year old would live on hummus and carrots, if I let her.

  • offer her fun veggies and don't buy the trashy junk. They had this thing on super nanny where they limited the ammount of trashy junk per day. I do stuffed tomatos with a smile made of chives, or celery with a bow on top made of a long piece of carrot shread, or I let them bake their own potato chips from fresh potatos. Just try some different things. I also keep them doing things so they dont sit around and think about snacking so much. Good Luck:)

  • dont buy junk food. make sure she takes vitamins and let her make her snacks. find recipes online that you can do together. she might apreciate them more nd enjoy her time with you in the kitchen

  • Get cool junk food, hummus with pita, black bean dip with baked tortillas, popcorn, etc, I wouldn't buy the crap for her, maybe only special treats!

  • Don't buy the junk food? If it isn't in the house, she will eat what is or go hungry. She is old enough to make her own decisions but if she wants junk food, then she buys it herself.

  • Stop buying it????? My sons at home are 19 and 17 and they don't get junk food here at the house. I can't control what they eat outside the home but at home they only eat fruits and veggies and other healthy snacks. They are not allowed to over eat. Their meals are all balanced and healthy since the eat all 3 at home (they come home for lunch). I control what they eat in our home. There's no soda. They have water and milk and during sports seasons they have Gatorade/Powerade (1 a day after practices only). My oldest is 23 and he and his wife have no junk food in their home, they eat fresh fruits and veggies, they don't eat processed foods. She came from a background with junk food, he didn't....he converted her to his way of eating. No fast food. They eat made from scratch w/fresh ingredients only foods.
