Do you think this is abuse?

If a three year old boy has scurvy ( total lack of vitamen C ).

  • depends on why.. is it because he is a picky eater? then No is it because he is malnourished? then Yes. talk to a doctor.

  • How do you get that anyway? Does another person pass it if you dont have enough vit c in your diet?

  • I dont know very much. Its a family members child he was very ill they took him to the hospitol and were told he has scurvy. Thats really all I know.

  • Oh and it is not contagious. Its from poor diet from everything ive read.

  • Odd, it's rare for anyone living in America today to have scurvy. I can't imagine a child not getting enough Vitamin C.

  • Maybe it's his body. I know everything says it's from poor diet, but he could have something wrong with his body where he absorbs the Vit. C faster than he should.
