How do they think they are going to "require" all americans to have health care?

When they can't even require all americans who own a vehicle to carry auto insurance! We just have to hope that the person that hits us does.

  • They can't. There has already been discussion of challenging the unconstitutional aspects of the bill. The federal government can't require you purchase anything.

  • It's tied to your tax return. You need your proof of insurance along with your W-2 info and the rest.

Yeah what the heck is up with that? This so called great plan that they have for us is great for the general public but not our nations leaders? What does that tell you? Canadians will tell you first hand that their medical sucks. They say it's great for acute illnesses like colds and stuff but for chronic things most people die waiting for an appoinment or waiting for surgery.

  • I wonder about that too. The state I used to live in required car insurance, but studies showed only about 50% of car owners actually bought it. Some, to skate through, would apply, pay one month, then drop it. Those of us who DID buy insurance had to carry uninsured motorists coverage as well. I was hit by a man with no insurance, license, or registration. He didn't even get a ticket and he never paid a dime towards the damage.
