repost. how can i give my baby tea?

she wont take a bottle and giving it to her off a spoon is making a big mess right now. this tea is made from fennel, chamomile, and catnip to help her little tummy.
she is 5 mos. old and is very gassy (colic) ...(anon) i didn't all of a sudden think oh, what if i mix this and this and this together and make a tea and see if it helps. i already knew it will work. i have been raised with herbs since i can remember. and i am constantly researching it more. there's tons to learn.
anyway that wasn't even the point. i need to HOW i can give it to her without it spilling all over her, she wont take a bottle and when she sips from the cup it gets all over her chin and down her shirt.

  • There may be a better way. You mention she doesn't take a bottle, so I'm guesing she's breastfed? Have you looked at your diet? Specifically, DAIRY? It's the biggest cause of gassiness. Eliminating it can eliminate gas.

    Just throwing out a thought.

Otherwise...a dropper is your best bet.

  • Maybe an eye dropper or medicine syringe.

  • Use a dropper, like in the infant's medicine, or a turkey baster, but with the baster be very careful to give small amounts.

I'm going to assume you know to make sure the tea is cool enough.

  • since it is such a small amount, could you mix it with her cereal or baby food?
