is your child fat? are you fat?

Where have you gone wrong in parenting to make your child overweight? Are you over weight yourself?

  • I am overweight - but I have a health issue that makes it extremely difficult to do anything about it. I'm not grossly obese, just overweight. I eat little junk. My children are all at good places on the growth charts, are well nourished, but are thin. Even my almost 8 year old, who is at the 80th percentile for weight and height both, is skinny. There's a big difference between fat & muscle, and my kids are all muscular and thing. They also inherited their daddy's metabolism & skinniness as a child.

  • My daughter isn't "under nourished". I'm not sure if you are taking aim specifically at MY answer, rkoloms. She is just a small child. Big difference from being undernourished.

  • Nope my child is not fat but thanks for your concern and/or nosiness. Obviously I haven't gone wrong if she is not over weight.
