How often do you buy yourself new clothes?

I have gained weight since having my son 7 months ago, I just can't lose it. So I don't have many clothes that fit. I always feel bad about getting new things because I always think it could have been something for my son, or for SO, or for the house...blah blah blah. How often do you get new stuff and how many new things do you get each time.

  • I always feel the same way...I usually get new clothes when I'm with my mom and looking so shabby she buys me something lol.

  • Are you kidding me? My kids own more clothes than me! I feel bad too and have also gained some weight, (you'd think I might try to lose a few pounds to get back into my other clothes, NOT~ HELLO, holiday goods!) It's hard to not feel bad but you need things too! I need panel pants! lol

  • I get what I need when I need it. I've gotten 2 new pairs of jeans in the last 5 years, but I got a whole outfit back in Feb (bro's wedding), I got some short this summer because my old ones weren't really wear-able anymore...I get a lot of hand-me-downs from my mom but they're mainly dressier things, so I just buy casual stuff here & there. Never much at one time. Next summer I need to replace a pair of denim capris & a pair of...argh, can't think of the name, but a certain kind of shorts (long, but not capri-lenth) since I busted out the entire crotch/butt last time I wore them. I never feel guilty buying something I need, since I do it so seldom & don't buy anything expensive.
