Snack ideas

I have 10 little girls I need a snack idea for. I am stumped. I would like something fun and healthy.

  • I really like apples with peanut butter and raisins.

  • Cored apples with brown sugar and butter inside along with chopped nuts. Bake until soft but not soggy.

  • apples and cheese, ants on a log (peanut butter on celery and raisins), hummus and pretzels, chips and salsa, frozen grapes, jello with a little cool whip. Good luck.

  • Fruit skewers with yogurt for dipping, and graham crackers. I would skewer different fruits like strawberries and bananas on one, melons and grapes on another, and apples of different varieties on another. Make a lot of the skewers, I would say 3 or 4 per kid, and serve with a big tub of vanilla yogurt, and some low fat graham crackers.

    Another idea is to spread graham crackers with peanut butter and make a "sandwich" with sliced bananas in the middle.

  • make parfaits with yogurt, granola and frozen blueberries
    slice apples and have "dips" of yogurt and peanut butter

  • tea sandwiches are really fun and fancy. you can buy mini tea loaf bread or cut your own bread with fun shaped cookie cutters. hummus, cucumber and cream cheese, turkey and white cheddar, sprouts and goat cheese... so many options.

    you can serve pink tea hot or iced. raspberry herbal tea seetened with agave or stevia.
