Will sex affect the checking for dilation and effacement?

just wondering if it would be okay to have sex before my doctors appointment tomorrow? what do you think should i wait or have sex with my husband tonight? sorry tmi

  • From the best I understand, semen and orgasm can help you dilate and efface, if that's what you mean. I've had sex the night before a visit, and never had a problem. I don't reckon it's possible for it to like, make you dilate and then it change back or anything. I think if it causes any changes, they will be permanent and probably positive, such as more dilation :)

  • Ive also Heard that it's totally great to have your cervix " LOVED" on. The sperm helps soften the cervix. And lets face it, your husband probably likes this answer !!!
