Do I have a tape worm?

I seem to be weak often, I have white and orange mucus in my stool. (on the topic of me closely inspecting my stool like a freak. . . lol) Today it seemed to have little almost clear pieces 'pop' off. It wasn't just dissolving. I don't know how better to describe it. They just were popping off main pieces. . . I am going to make an appointment. But I am embarrassed. I don't feel like I have anything life threatening. And I had an ultra sound done because I needed surgery about a month ago. Wouldn't they have noticed there? I'm super paranoid about worms they are my biggest gross out. So I'm hoping I'm just paranoid. Any advice? Anyone suffered from a tape worm of any kind? Please offer some advice other than "Go to the doctor" :P

  • I'm more experienced with animals having tapeworm, here are my observations:

They can eat twice as much as normal and still lose weight but have a large abdomen.

They pass egg sacs in their stool and have them around their anal area. The egg sacs look like moving grains of white rice and are sticky.

I don't know how much this helps. Do you have stomach (intestinal cramps)?
