How can I get help finding a place to live when I don't have much money?

I want a place of my own with my kids.

  • try the hud thing.. or try your local family independce agencie they usually have listening for low income houseing.. they go by what your income is.... they will only take i think 30 percent of your income or somthing.. and there lil town homes.. apartments.. i would look into that..

  • That's what I'm trying to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! None of our housing authorities are even accepting section 8 applications, b/c there are too many people applying! It's messed up, some people relaly need a home, people with kids should get first grabs.

  • Oh Honey.. it's only going to get worse. In a few years, there are going to be no programs and no FREE money to anyone. So, my suggestion... Go register with your local Habitat for Humanity.
