  • The problem Mamakirs is that the longer they are in the more POWER they wield SO people are less likely to vote them out, not because of issues, but because they dont want to lose the POWER that the career politician has accrued. Term limits woul;d help insure a more even balance of power....among other things :)

  • They would never allow that to happen. These people do this job to get wealthy. They set the policy and have inside knowledge to commit insider trading everyday. If they are not rich when they start out they will be.

  • I am for term limits for ALL politicians--especially members of the House of Representative and they Democrat or Republican!

  • It's about time. My husband and I were just talking about this last night. He thinks they should serve 8 years with elections every 2 years so that they are rotating out but experienced members are always there. I also think there should be an age limit (65) and there shouldn't be any lawyers allowed. They write the laws for lawyers and not for the average "Joe".

  • Don't we already have term limits way of the vote?
