How many ounces of breastmilk do you pump for your 3 month old?

I have been pumping 5-6 ounces when I pump twice, if I pump once then I will get 2-4 ounces. Is this a normal amount? I drink lots of water.

  • I could never pump more than about 2 oz. pumps aren't a good indicator of how much your baby is actually getting when they nurse. The only way i could get more was if my son skipped a couple feedings when he'd actually sleep. lol.

  • Everyone pumps different amounts. What you pump may not be exactly what your baby is eating. I pump a bit and give bottles. When I pump I get usually 7 oz. My baby will drink 5 oz at time. She will be 3 months on Friday.
