How can I get my 4 year old to sleep past 5am?

My 4 year old has been sleeping 7pm to 5 am since he was 3 months old. Now he's turning 5 and I can't get his sleeping pattern to change. I try keeping him up later but he just passes out at 7pm! Any advice?

  • overly tired children at bedtime wake up earlier. atleast its something like that i read. Although its sounds insane, try to get him to bed earlier. My son was much younger when he would wake up at 5 ish so i instead of 7 bedtime i put him to bed at 630. He didnt get up till 7 afer that. Now his bedtime is 7 and he wakes at 630 ish.
