baby's cord fell off yesterday????

Well my baby's cord fell off yesterday, and i really want to give him a bath. do you think its ok. it still looks a little raw. but not too bad... someone please help me. im so anxious about giving him his first bath.

  • Go ahead, just remember to rinse the cord area well with plain water. Have fun and keep ahold of that slippery baby!

  • Yep your ready to go, I wiped around the area gently, not inside of it or anything, just be careful still and enjoy the first bath!

  • i just would fill thebaby tub up just a little and be sure you dont get soap in the belly button.... you dont want to dry it out.

  • Don't use soap. it dries out the babies skin. but yeah you are good to go!!

  • Yes!! You can give him a bath as soon as it falls off :) Take lots of pics!!! (and video tape) ahh, I miss those first moments.

  • Aww my babies fell of yesterday too :) Like others have said, it's fine to give him a bath now. I'm anxious to give my little one his first bath too, I'm just waiting for his daddy to get home to video tape it.
