  • Well, I guess it would be making your child the number one priority in your life. Realizing that you are responsible for this little person's development and his abilities throughout his lifetime. Knowing that you want to raise a child to become an intelligent member of our society and working your best to accomplish the same.

  • Read and study parenting guides and make your own parenting philosophy based on your common sense and what you have read and learned. Keep yourself healthy so that you feel well enough to give all you have to the child. Give the child roots and wings. Teach the child values and morals and caring about others, and help the child prepare for a productive and satisfying life.

  • Follow your instincts.

They usually lead down the "Attachment Parenting" path in many situations.

You can learn more about parenting through books, classes, etc., but just be patient and be there for your baby, at the very least. :-)

  • #1 - Trust your insticts.
#2 - Read, learn, research, etc. all you can about babies and parenting.

Put these two together and you will be a great mom!

  • Love your kids more than yourself. The rest will fall into place.

  • I didn't get those automatic instincts - i read and read and make charts and be silly and be strict and hope I will turn out like my mother..
