Is this normal for a newborn??

My 2 weeks old sneezes a lot, but it's just a dry sneeze... nothing comes out.

But just barely he sneezed a few times in a row and loads of snot came out. Is it normal for a newborn to sneeze out snot??

  • Yes it's fine, sneezes and hiccups are very common in newborns. As for the snot, I'd just use a nasal aspirator (nose sucker) to try to clear out babies nose if needed.

  • i think that might be formula or breast milk. and if formula or breast milk comes through his nose or is in his his nose, you should suck it out with a bulb syringe.
