Looking into Catholicism

Where do I start? My husband's family is all Catholic and I know I could go to them, but I want to start on my own a bit.

  • Many parishes have what is called in RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). These are classes for people interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. You don't have to promise to convert or anything - you just take the classes and see what it's about. Check the website of the local parish or diocese. The book "Catholicism for Dummies" is a nice basic easy-to-read overview of Catholic beliefs. And you're welcome to stop by the Catholic Moms group here on cafemom (I'm the owner) we have a "Learning the Catholic Faith" discussion area.
