  • Both of my showers were open houses. I enjoyed being able to sit and relax and visit with people as they passed through.

At a friend's shower we played a game where there were diapers with mashed up/melted candybars inside we passed them around and tried to guess what kind of "poop" (candybar) was in the diaper.

  • I love baby showers!!! At the baby showers I been to they play lots of games. Like baby bingo...u can find it at alot of party stores. then u have the baby food game where u take off the label and give everyone a sample of each one and have them write down the flavors. whoever does the best gets a prize. then u have cant say baby where u give everyone the same amount of necklaces or pins and everytime someone says baby the person who called them on it gets to take one of their items. And the one that cracks me up everytime is musical cucumber where u stand in a circle and put the cucumber between ur legs and pass it to the person next to u and so on until the music stops. The person left holding it is out of the game. The last one standing gets the prize!! hope these helped!!!!

  • at showers we play the "please and thank you" game

    you need

    2 decks of cards
prizes (from the dollar store - or whatever you want to use)
gift bags/ wrapping for the prizes

before the shower Wrap up all the prizes with wrapping or bags.. make it interesting

    for the game
everyone sits in a circle around the prizes.
Deal out the cards from one pack of cards (after shuffling) 1 by 1 to each player going around the circle as many times as you need till all the cards are gone.
take the 2nd deck and shuffle it . call out the cards as you flip them(10 of clubs ect)
the person with the corresponding card picks a present (prize)
as they pick it up they MUST say "please and thank you" or they forfeit the present.
The players can chose either to take the presents from the middle OR the presents that someone else has all ready taken.
Once all the cards are called the g

  • Some simple games. Set an egg timer for different intervals for when she is opening gifts. Who ever gift she is opening at the time get a prize. Its good for the not so outgoing guests lol.
You can buy $1 scratch offs as prizes and give people a chance to win some money. It beats the corny dollar store candle that gets chucked in a door when they get home lol
