what are your needs/wants from a baby monitor? There are some great video monitors, however they are all fairly spendy. We have a graco digital monitor that we like because it allows us to put a base in each of the kids' room that both send signals to just one receiver. The digital monitors in general are great at not picking up a lot of outside interference, however they also need to be reset if your power ever goes out or the receiver gets too far from the base and loses it's signal. Our first monitor was the first years - standard issue from target - we had a TON of problems with the receiver not picking up anything but static unless you turned it on and off and on and off and on until it finally clicked. I wouldn't recommend that one.
