I'm 23 weeks pregnant and I'm having difficulty breathing...

Should I be concerned? It's 2:30 AM so I can't call my mom to ask. But this is my first pregnancy and I don't know if its common to have difficulty breathing while your pregnant. I'm just sitting here, it's not like I'm active and having a hard time breathing.

  • How big are you? Is your baby big enough to compress your lungs? That's not uncommon. Do you feel lightheaded, or just a little like you need to catch your breath? Any chest pain? How short of breath are you? If you're just a little uncomfortable, you're probably ok, but if you're like gasping for breath or feeling lightheaded you should be worried.
