  • Depends on how much we have. It usually runs a couple thousand. (4 kids)

We only spend what we HAVE --- credit cards are off limits for gift shopping.

  • We only spend on what we were able to save that year. This year we saved $2,000, but we also have to buy for other family members and this is our granddaughter's first Christmas. I think it will average to about $300 for each teen (we have 2), $150 for our adult daughter, $300 for our granddaughter, $400 for extended family & friends, and the rest for decorations - we had to buy a new tree this year. We may be able to spend less on our granddaughter (she'll only be 10 months old at Christmas) and on our extended family & friends, in which case we will put it towards the new dishwasher we are saving for after the new year.

  • Wow, with me and my SO fired, this year is yard sales and goodwill. So probably about $20 -$40 each. 2 kids, I may spend about $50 total.

  • We usually spend between $75 and $100 per kid with 4 kids. Although we've done it on $50 a kid before. They usually get so much stuff they don't know what to do with it. I don't see why would need to spend more. They don't need more "stuff".
