Can I give portraits as christmas gifts?

Just spent a good chunk of money having my daughter's picture taken. I would like to know if any of you have ever given these as gifts. To frame or not to frame...

  • I say yes to grandparents and aunts and uncles. I say to frame them if you can!

  • I think it's a great gift. We frame ours & give them as gifts, usually in a basket with candy, cookies & other goodies that I make.

  • Heck, I do now, and they always ask if they can order more. This year I don't have money to buy adults gifts but I'm taking my kids picture by the tree and making greetings cards at Staples, and that is what everyone is getting, and maybe I'll have time to bake some cookies :)

  • To grandparents, yes. Though other family members would appriciate pictures, I can't say how many would want them as Christmas gifts. Grandparents .. at least my children's Grandparents get super excited. I am planning on getting a family portrait done to give to my children's grandparents this Christmas. I plan on framing them in simple wooden frames.
