how can i make the bedtime routine go more smoothly?

My ds is still an infant and I know he won't grasp the routine until it becomes a consistent thing but I was just wondering if there is anyway I can make it go more smoothly while make this transition with him?

  • Just keep the same thing going every night! It will come in due time. We start with bath everynight at the same time 8:00 then lotion (massage), night night bottle, and she takes the paci right after. I turn on her night night music and rock her until her eyes get droopy. Then she goes in HER bed. Never fails EVERYNIGHT!

    Good Luck, it will happen!

  • Do it everyday, don't rush it, and keep the same (early)bed time. That may mean cutting activities short until he falls into the routine, but my dd was 5months when we started ours and it's always worked like a charm!
