  • My last period was in July too, I get them a few times a year since I put on 30lbs. When I drop 10lbs I get a period.....I keep asking the doctor, but even after the tests and ultrasounds, she just said it was because I gained weight so quickly. She explained that anytime you gain or lose weight quickly (more than 8lbs a month), it can mess with your hormones and stop your period.

    Good luck!

  • Get your thyroid levels checked. I didn't have a period for TWO YEARS...low thyroid was the culprit. Along with the lack of menses, I also gained 50 lbs, had dry skin, and was very tired all the time.

  • Im not on any birth control. We were trying to get pregnant before my husband left for Iraq. But that was in April. i go friday for a Pap Smear to see whats going on. I had one back in March and I didnt have a problem. I have gained back all my weight from my 1st pregnancy. My husband came home in august on leave. Im just afraid that I could be pregnant and these test are wrong.
