Korean protestors holding anti-Obama signs

The protesters chanted slogans and held up signs against the dispatch. They cited concerns about the safety of South Koreans in the war-ravaged country.

"We should not fall into the swamp of the U.S. anti-terror war," said Lee Jung-hee, a lawmaker with the opposition Democratic Labor Party.

  • Korea has a mandatory military service. It's not a volunteer military service. In 2007 they pulled out. Around that same time (I believe) 23 ROK military were held hostage. South Korean military is a mandatory force trained and geared to protect THEIR nation. I don't think they should get involved in Afghanistan. Their troops is geared/trained for such a military affair. jmo

  • It's interesting that Obama isn't loved by all like the libs seem to believe.  South Koreans don't think Obama deserves the Nobel Peace Prize either. LOL
