  • My 8 month old (as of tomorrow) typically nurses about every 3 hours during the day... Sometimes much more often, sometimes much less often, it depends on the day and what we're doing... and then several times a night, I don't know how much or how often.

He typically has a little bit of whatever we're eating on top of this... he won't let us eat without him, so if he's awake, he'll get little bits of whatever he can chew that is appropriate for him.

  • My 7 month old was eating baby food 3 times/day, usually a jar at each sitting except breakfast when he had 1/2 jar plus some baby cereal. I breastfed him after each feeding, and then again 2 -3 additional times/day.

  • When my boys were that age they were eating whatever I mushed up for them (usualy fruit or veggie) I gave them, cereal here & there didn't buy a whole lot of actual baby food.
